Revlon Powder Foundation

Hello Everybody!
I purchased this Revlon photo ready powder foundation for prom couple weeks ago, and must I say I was very happy with what this one product changed my life. One of the reasons why I purchased this foundation was because of the big mirror and sleek packaging which made it very easy to be brought to different places, as well as having many positive reviews about powder foundation and how it is one of the best products to be used on acne-prone skin.

After spending more than 20minutes at the drugstore figuring out what shade was I, I settled with the shade [140-Natural Ochre]. Even though this product seems too light for my skintone, once it settles in the skin the powder does end up matching the color of my face. I must say that this product should be used over an CC Cream or an concealer as it may not have enough pigments to cover up blemishes, howevver this product has fairly good coverage as it is very densly packed and can cover minor pigmentation that can be used on a good skin day.

I paid about 120HKD for a product contains 0.32 Oz/9g, that also contains SPF 20/PA+++ which is perfect for the summertime as it is very lightweight, coverage appropriate and has sunscreen to protect you from the sun's harmful UV rays.
In the beginning, when applied I did not really like the texture of the product as it looked really cakey and since I would be dancing all night and may need to re-powder I was not getting any chances of having an uneven skintone. However after appying it and letting it set for a good minute and a half I saw that my skin looked flawless and looked like my natural skin. I even had complements when I wore this foundation from my friends as she said "wow, your skin looks perfect and flawless". This was very re-assuring for using this product for prom, and I highly reccommend this product to you guys.

Travel Beauty Essentials

Hi Everybody!
Today's blogpost is showing you my travel beauty essientials that I cannot go anywhere without. I usually bring this everywhere I go, because you never know if you have to go somewhere or if you have an unexpected event and you feel like you don't look presentable enough. This bag that I have contains everything that I would need on a daily basis as well as what I may need in the night time (for those late nights), which includes cleanser and lotion if I end up staying at a friends house.

My makeup/beauty pouch is from simples, I got this in a gift set a year ago that included a toner, lotion, cleanser and this pouch. I really like this pouch, because it is a perfect size for me as it fits all my essientials. This pouch has actually been used till full potential, because comparing this bag to makeup bags that you see nowadays, its nothing too crazy with the different designs or bright colors.
A lipbalm that I bring around with me everywhere is by vaseline and this is a really moisturising lipbalm with a hint of color. I think having color on your lips makes your face instantly more vibrant and make you look like you actually put effort into getting ready in the morning. I don't really like wearing anything that is too opaque, because it always feels like there is something really sticky on my lips and really accentuate the dryness of my lips.
Mascara is an really important factor of makeup, as it can really dramatically affect the appearance of your face. Whenever I wear this particular mascara, many of my friends comment on how it makes my eyelashes really long and full. I like how this mascara has two wands, one for the bottom lashes and the other for the upper lashes. I actually like to use the lower lashes want on my top lashes as it does a really good job of seperating my lashes, making them appear much longer.
I don't actually wear makeup on a daily basis, I only actually wear makeup to important events where there will be photo oppertunities. I use an CC cream to even out my skin tone, and I have been sticking to this product for the past 6 months and I have to say it really does cover up dark pigmentation caused by acne and the sun.
If you know me in person, I have the oilest skin that you would ever meet. Not to be disgusting or anything, but I would blot occasionaly every 6 hours and lets just say its so disgusting that I can't even stand looking at what it picked up. In my opinion I try my best not to blot that often, because you are removing your natural oils. This makes your body say to produce more oil, causing your skin to be even more oiler (if that made any sense at all).
I always like to carry around a face wash, because you never know if you need it or not. I remember one time I actually forgot to bring a cleanser to a friends house for a sleepover, that I remembered packing this. I use this cleanser once a day during summer, because my skin produces way more oil during the summer in comparison to winter where my skin needs all the moisture it can get.
I always like the bring a lotion, because I think if you ever had dry skin during school hours, or when you are out with your friends and you notice a dry patch on your face. All you have to do is go to the washroom and apply lotion to your face to prevent the look of super scaley skin.

Haul [Hair+Makeup Edition]

Hi Everybody!
Todays blog post is about my recent beauty purchases that I did couple weeks ago during my study break, I only have the time to write this now as I have been busy doing exams and assessments that ended last week. I hope you guys are as excited as I am as Summer is fastly approaching (and the end of the school term ends), I am actually going to be traveling to England and Scotland to attend an summer camp and I am beyond excited for this amazing oppertunity!

I recently been binge watching hair care routines to help prevent split ends and take care of my hair. One of the videos that I stumbled upon, the beauty guru used sulfate and paraben free shampoo and conditioner, I was very interested in this as they explained that chemicals in shampoos and conditioners are not good for your health or the environment therefore they opt for an sulfate and paraben free shampoo and contioner. I purchased this companies one as they seemed the most legit product that had a range to fit the particular hair type that you have, I picked up the dry nourish shampoo as I have an dry scalp and needs to be moisurized otherwise will be flakey and resemble dandruff. I also picked up the normal balance conditioner, as I use the conditioner throughout the hair overally moisturized products over time would make my hair look greasy.
For a long time now I wanted to try an sea salt spray, I actually tried diy-ing my in the past however it didnt really smell that nice and the overall texture of my hair did not resmeble beach waves or leave my hair feeling nice either. I'm really fussy when it comes to my hair as I dont know what suits my hair as having it both neat and messy just makes the overall appearance of myself very unprepared. I purchased this product just to try out on the days where my hair has a slight wave to make it resemble I just went to the beach (aka beach hair).
I actually don't own a natural lip gloss that is similar to my lip shade, but I do own bright bold colors as I liked to wear them win minimal makeup that really suits the winter and fall seasons. However since I really enjoy wearing that no-makeup makeup look on a daily basis,  I think it was very beneficial to purchase a lip gloss similar to my lip shade to wear on an everyday basis for school and sunday trips out. I have been testing this out for 2 weeks now and first of all I am really enjoying this as it is very light weight and does not feather over the day which is a huge plus in comparison to darker colors that tend to feather. Another thing why I like this is that it is not an liquid lipstick that turns into a matte texture,  though I really like matte lipsticks I find liquid lipsticks really hard to apply and I do not have the patience to wait for the product to dry as I tend to do an slap on product then leave the house shortly after that.

what is one product you want to try out this summer?
